Jimmy Buffet in Town 4/26

Maybe it is just a coincindence that Brian started this group in the same month Jimmy Buffet is gonna be in town. Or maybe not! Anyhow, the concert is in Frisco at Pizza Hut Park on Saturday, 4/26. You can check out tix availability on ticketmaster.

The last couple concerts I went to, we waited til the day of the concert and bought GREAT seats. No discount, but sat in the first three rows each time. Some venues make last minute tix available, typically in the front rows b/c they were being saved for VIPs or more room in the pit or whatever. Sometimes you gotta keep checking hour by hour til they release them in order to get the best ones.

Cant go to Jimmy Buffet myself, but hope some of you have fun! Am cohosting a murder mystery party that night: Murder in Margaritaland. Might be something fun to do with this group too in the future! The company we bought the game from also has a pirate one: Murder of the Mateys! Could be even more fun with those Pina Coladas Brian mentioned on the Welcome page!

Well its kinda a coincidence. But I just closed one of my other Meetups so I could start this one. I'm a pirate at heart and thought this would be great to start. Like I said this group is all to the members to see how much fun we can have.

I would love to get a lot of people and head out to Jimmy or Kenny's concert and have a parking lot party.

I, myself was trying to get a group of friends to go to the concert--but at least the party before it! I would be interested in a group gathering there...

In the ten years or so that I have counted myself a real 'parrot head' I've not gotten to see Buffet. I really would like to, but only with a group. I don't know anything about the Frisco venue either. Will we be able to have a grassy area to be as a group? Is it somewhat like Schmirnoff (pardon the spelling and incorrect name) used to be with Edgefest and concerts?

Well Pizza Hut Park is not like Schminoff. At Pizza Hut you have no grass its just like a reg concert. I found it to be ok but the parking lot party is the best. Also JB streams his concerts on his website live so really no need to go inside you can be cheap like me and stay outside and listen to them on the internet. HAHA

I completely agree! The parking lot party is the BEST. I have been to one Buffett concert and it was awesome but the parties before and after are better. Everyone is blaring Buffett anyway so whether or not you actually get in to the concert, you still hear the music!

Unfortunately I am not going this year... I swapped weekends with my son's father so he could go to Buffett. DANGIT!!!! If you guys go, have fun!!!!!
